How Sucralfate + Mupirocin works
Sucralfate + Mupirocin is a combination of two medicines: Sucralfate and Mupirocin that treat ulcers and wounds. Sucralfate is an anti-ulcerant which forms a coating over the affected skin surface. This creates a physical barrier that protects the skin from further injury, allowing it to heal. Mupirocin is an antibiotic. It kills the bacteria that cause skin infections by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins necessary for survival of bacteria. Thus, it prevents the skin infection from spreading.
