Lemborexant blocks the action of orexin, a chemical that regulates the sleep signals in the brain and keeps you awake. Once orexin’s action is blocked, the brain doesn’t receive wake-up signals, which helps you sleep.

  • Lemborexant can make you feel drowsy, therefore, patients, especially the elderly, may be at a higher risk of falls. Caution is advised.
