Overview
What is CT Cisternography?
Computed Tomography (CT) Cisternography is an imaging procedure to evaluate the cerebral spinal fluid (CSF) of the spinal canal and the ventricles of the brain.
This test is prescribed to confirm the CSF leakage, to determine the position of leakage, to diagnose CSF Rhinorrhoea, where the CSF leaks into the sinuses surrounding the nasal region, to diagnose CSF Otorrhoea, where the CSF leaks into the middle or inner ear cavities and to guide any treatment procedure.
It is a highly accurate and safe method. This scan can also detect low volume and intermittent leaks.
Why is CT Cisternography done?
