Why Get Tested for Anti-Tryptase?
This test is usually suggested if you have recurrent symptoms that may resemble anaphylaxis or mastocytosis, like swollen face, itchy skin and others.
What Results of Anti-Tryptase mean?
If a high tryptase level reduces suddenly, then it is an indicator of anaphylaxis. If the tryptase levels shoot up and don’t reduce for a long period, then it is an indication of mastyocytosis.
