Teriflunomide is used for relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS) and multiple sclerosis (MS).
How Teriflunomide works
Teriflunomide is an immunomodulatory medication. It works by limiting the function of specific immune cells (T and B cells) that cause nerve damage in multiple sclerosis.
Common side effects of Teriflunomide
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
Common
Diarrhea, Hair loss, Nausea, Headache, Increased alanine aminotransferase, Joint pain, Decreased white blood cell count (neutrophils), High blood pressure, Paresthesia (tingling or pricking sensation)
