Ripasudil is a medicine used to treat glaucoma and ocular hypertension (high pressure in the eyes). It helps lower intraocular pressure (IOP), reducing the risk of vision loss.
Always inform your doctor about all the eye medications you are using. Wait at least 5-10 minutes between applying different eye drops to avoid interactions or dilution of the medication.
Remove contact lenses before using Ripasudil and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them. Some ingredients in the Ripasudil may damage contact lenses or cause discomfort.
You may notice a reduction in eye pressure within a few hours. However, the full effects may take several days to become apparent.
Avoid touching the dropper tip to your eye or any surface to prevent contamination. Do not use the drops if the solution changes color or becomes cloudy. Avoid driving or operating machinery until your vision clears after using the drops.
If you experience mild side effects like stinging or blurred vision, wait for them to subside. For severe side effects like eye pain, vision changes, or allergic reactions, stop using the drops and seek medical attention immediately.
