Polatuzumab is used in the treatment of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL).
How Polatuzumab works
Polatuzumab works by binding with cancer cells and releasing a chemical called monomethyl auristatin E, into the cell causing the cancer cells to die or stop growing.
Common side effects of Polatuzumab
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Peripheral neuropathy (tingling and numbness of feet and hand), Nausea, Fatigue, Diarrhea, Constipation, Hair loss, Mucositis, Lymphopenia, Decreased white blood cell count (neutrophils), Increased uric acid level in blood, Anemia (low number of red blood cells), Low blood platelets, Fever, Decreased appetite, Pneumonia
