Iron + Folic Acid + Vitamin B12 contains three ingredients, namely folic acid, iron, and vitamin B12. Iron replenishes the iron stores in the body and corrects iron-deficiency anemia. Folic acid is essential for the production of red blood cells. It also prevents and treats folate deficiency and anemia. Vitamin B12 is essential for red blood cell production, nerve function, and DNA synthesis. Therefore, adequate vitamin B12 intake is important during childhood to support healthy nerves and overall growth.

  • Avoid taking antacids 2 hours before or after taking Iron + Folic Acid + Vitamin B12 as they make it harder for your body to absorb the medicine.
  • Let your doctor know if you are taking any other medications like antibiotics, antacids, or medicines for heart disease or bone disorders.
  • Drink 6 to 8 full glasses of water daily to help prevent constipation while you are taking this medicine. Do not use a stool softener (laxative) without first asking your doctor.
