How Gatifloxacin + Loteprednol etabonate works
Gatifloxacin + Loteprednol etabonate is a combination of two medicines: Gatifloxacin and Loteprednol etabonate. Gatifloxacin is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria in the eye by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves. This treats your infection. Loteprednol etabonate is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red swollen and itchy.
Common side effects of Gatifloxacin + Loteprednol etabonate
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

  • Gatifloxacin + Loteprednol etabonate must be used as per dose and duration suggested by the doctor.
