INFORMATION ABOUT FIPRONIL + S-METHOPRENE
Fipronil + S-Methoprene Uses
Fipronil+S-Methoprene is used in the treatment of Parasitic Infestations.
How Fipronil + S-Methoprene works
Fipronil + S-Methoprene is a combination of two medicines: fipronil and (S)-methoprene. Fipronil acts on the parasites’ nervous system, causing paralysis and death of fleas, ticks, and lice when they come in contact with the treated pet. (S)-Methoprene prevents flea eggs and larvae from growing into adult fleas, breaking their life cycle. Together, they not only eliminate existing parasites but also stop new infestations, keeping pets healthy and itch-free for longer.

Frequently asked questions for Fipronil + S-Methoprene
Fipronil+S-Methoprene is generally applied once every month (about every 30 days) to maintain continuous protection. Consult your veterinarian for guidance.
After application, the medicine spreads across the skin and hair coat and begins to act, killing the adult fleas quickly and preventing the new fleas from developing. It generally provides about 30 days of protection in typical conditions.
Bathing or swimming soon after application may reduce the effectiveness of the medicine, because some of the topical solution can be washed off. It is recommended to avoid shampooing or wetting the coat for at least 24–48 hours after application to allow the medicine to disperse and bind properly.
Fipronil+S-Methoprene is generally approved for use in puppies and kittens 8 weeks of age or older and above a minimum weight. Use in pregnant or nursing animals should be done under veterinary advice. It is generally considered safe in breeding, pregnant, and nursing animals. However, consult your veterinarian to ensure safety.
The application site should be in a place the animal cannot easily reach (often between the shoulder blades), and pets should not lick or groom that area until it is dry. Another animal in the household should also be prevented from licking the treated pet. Contact your veterinarian if you suspect excessive licking or ingestion of the product.
No. This medicine is not recommended for rabbits or small mammals. In fact, the active ingredient fipronil is known to be very toxic in rabbits.
There are no well-documented drug interactions for Fipronil+S-Methoprene in dogs and cats. However, you should always inform your veterinarian of all medications, supplements, or topical treatments your pet is receiving before applying them to ensure safety.
