Ethacridine

Ethacridine is used for medical abortion, induction of labour and post-delivery bleeding. It is used in clinical settings only.

Ethacridine causes mechanical stimulation of the uterus. Extensive detachment of the membranes can stimulate the uterus and precipitate the abortion.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
