Dapoxetine is used in the treatment of depression, premature ejaculation, anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, phobia and post traumatic stress disorder. It should only be used in men aged between 18 and 64 years.

Dapoxetine is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) which increases the level of serotonin in the nervous system to increase the time taken to ejaculate and improve control over ejaculation.
