Immunization against cholera infection. Immunity, sufficient to prevent clinical disease, is produced only in 50% of those inoculated and lasts 6 months or so - sufficient to tide over an epidemic.
How it works
Cholera vaccine stimulate active immunity response resulting in production of endogenously produced antibodies against cholera bacteria (Vibrio cholerae serogroups O1 and O139).
