How Buprenorphine + Naloxone works
Buprenorphine + Naloxone is a combination of two medicines: buprenorphine and naloxone which treat opioid addiction. Buprenorphine is an opioid partial agonist. It prevents withdrawal symptoms in patients who stop taking opioid drugs by producing similar effects to these drugs. Naloxone is an opioid antagonist which blocks the opioid receptors to prevent withdrawal side effects.
