Artesunate+Amodiaquine is used in the treatment of malaria.
How Artesunate + Amodiaquine works
Artesunate + Amodiaquine is a combination of two medicines: Artesunate and Amodiaquine. Artesunate acts by producing free radicals within the malarial parasite, which kills it. Amodiaquine is a weak base that reaches high concentration within the malarial parasite and causes accumulation of toxic heme pigment, which kills it.
Common side effects of Artesunate + Amodiaquine
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
