Harmful effects of methotrexate

Methotrexate, a class of medications called antimetabolites, is use in the treatment of cancer, severe psoriasis and severe rheumatoid arthritis. It can cause side effects like headache, swollen gums, dizziness, hair loss, etc. Rarely, it can cause fatal side effects. Harmful effects of methotrexate include seizures, vision loss, loss of consciousness, etc. It can damage the blood, bone marrow, liver, lungs, etc. The drug can cause birth defects and death in unborn babies.
