Stop what you’re doing and tune in. Where’s the pain? Is it sharp, dull, burning, or throbbing? Understanding it helps guide your response.

Pause & Check

If the pain follows activity, your body may need rest. Sit or lie down comfortably. Avoid pushing through—it can worsen the issue.

Test First

Use ice for swelling or injury (first 24–48 hrs), and heat for stiff or tight muscles. Always use a cloth barrier to protect your skin.

Mild pain from sitting or sleeping wrong? Try gentle stretches. Don’t force it—listen to your body and stop if it hurts.

See a doctor if the pain is severe, sudden, and unexplained, affects breathing or movement, or is accompanied by fever, numbness, or chest tightness.
