Jaljeera is a tangy-spicy drink made with cumin, black salt, mint, and tamarind or lemon juice. It’s great for digestion and cooling the body, especially after meals.

However, the strong spices and salty taste may not always be the best choice if you're very dehydrated

Shikanji, on the other hand, is a lemon-based drink made with water, lemon juice, black salt, sugar, and sometimes a touch of mint or cumin.

It’s rich in Vitamin C, helps restore electrolytes, and offers both hydration and energy thanks to its salt-sugar balance.

Shikanji is more hydrating overall, especially when you’ve been out in the sun or sweating. It replenishes lost salts and keeps you refreshed without overwhelming the system.
