Swimming is great fun (and exercise) for kids during summer, but long hours in the pool can lead to tanning and uneven skin tone—especially due to harsh sunlight and chlorinated water.

Here’s how you can reduce swimming tan in kids safely and effectively:

Aloe vera is soothing and helps lighten tan naturally. Apply fresh gel before bedtime and rinse off in the morning.

Dab raw milk onto your child’s face and arms using a cotton ball. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water. This mild cleanser helps lighten tan and keeps the skin soft.

Mix 1 spoon of curd with a pinch of turmeric. Apply it on tanned areas for 15 minutes before rinsing with cool water. Do this twice a week.

Make a paste using oatmeal, honey, and a few drops of milk. Gently rub it on the skin once a week to remove dead cells and tan.

Tomato has natural bleaching properties. Rub a little tomato pulp on the tanned skin, leave it on for 10 minutes, then wash off.

Always patch test home remedies before full use and avoid harsh scrubs or bleaching products on kids' sensitive skin.
