High uric acid levels can lead to gout, a painful form of arthritis. It’s important to detect elevated uric acid early to manage the condition effectively.

Here are 5 tests that can help check uric acid levels in your body:

This is the most common test to measure uric acid levels. A blood sample is drawn to check how much uric acid is circulating in your bloodstream. Normal levels are usually between 3.5 and 7.2 mg/dL. Higher levels can indicate gout or other health problems.

Blood Uric Acid Test
