Alpha-lipoic acid is an antioxidant that protects the brain and nerves from harmful free radicals. It also lowers bad cholesterol and breaks down carbohydrates to make energy. Methylcobalamin corrects vitamin B12 deficiency, thereby helping in treating certain anemias and nerve problems. Chromium picolinate reduces insulin resistance and helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes. Selenium dioxide acts as a resource of selenium that prevents cell damage and protects the body from the harmful effects of heavy metals and other free radicals.
