Saint 200 Tablet is a medicine used for the treatment of liver disease associated with reduced bile formation (intrahepatic cholestasis). It protects the liver cells from toxins and helps the liver to perform its normal functions.

Saint 200 Tablet may be taken with or without food. The dose will depend on what you are being treated for and your body weight. This medicine needs to be taken regularly to get the most benefit and you may have to take it for several months or longer, so try to get into a routine. Keep using it as prescribed even if your symptoms disappear.

The most common side effects are nausea, diarrhea, upset stomach, constipation, and dizziness. Not everyone gets side effects. If you are worried about them, or they do not go away, let your doctor know. If you have problems with diarrhea your doctor may reduce the dose or stop the treatment. Drink enough of water or fluids to stay hydrated in case of severe diarrhea and constipation.

Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. Using this medicine can reduce or increase the effect of some other medicines so tell your doctor, all other medicines you are taking. Avoid drinking alcohol as it might increase side effects.

My younger son Master PATIENT on 9.8.2008 and now he is studying in 2nd std. When he was born we observed that there was a wound on his back Myelomeningocele which we got it operated on the third day of his birth. It was further opined by the treating doctor that he had to undergo V.P. Shunt operation which was carried out during 1 1/2 month of his birth.Now the present situation is that:- Since birth till now he is mentally healthy and stable;He speaks, learns, expresses etc quite well;He is studying very well; the problems he is facing with:-He could stand, walk, ONLY WITH SUPPORT;Even when walks his foot palms gets folded i.e. it is not normal and due to which it creates a fear that he will fall down; He also rides bicycle with support but the required strength is not coming forth from the feet;Due to physiotherapy and the suggested treatment we observe that there is some improvement but we can say around 50%I am confident with the above you will understand the situation correctly as I have explained the matter as I know as I am unaware of medical terminology. I request your goodself to suggest me as to if there is any better treatment than the present one he is undergoing. If so, or suggestion to overcome this issue. The interest in routine activities like eating, socialising with friends and family and sex goes down. Identifying your stressors, learning to deal with them, de stressing regularly by doing something that makes one feel good, yoga and meditation are some non pharmacological strategies to deal with it. If the condition is persisting for a long time, it's better to see a psychiatrist. You can take omega 3 FA supplements/ NAC/ saint john's wort / l- theamine( Thealife), 5- HT tryptamine etc which may have benefits after long term use. Visit a psychiatrist for better treatment management.
