On Feb 2015, I was diagnosed with high BP and cholesterol. My BP was 150/110. I will attach my cholesterol report (ends with I was prescribed Asomex 2.5 mg for bp, but it did not go down and so was asked to take 5mgb daily. My pressure dropped significantly and till date it reads to 120/80. Reg cholesterol, I was prescribed TG Goal. During Oct 2015, I took a lipid test and the cholesterol went below normal. I will attach this report So I was prescribed Novastat 5 mg and taking the same daily till date. I am asked to take BP medicine life long. I have to take one more lipid test soon and decide on Cholesterol medicine. I learnt that taking statin for a long time causes diabetes. I am also afraid to take bp medicine life long. Is there any alternate?
