Cephalogram

Cephalography is a visualisation technique that provides a clear picture of the structures of the face and the skull. The technique employs X-rays to provide images of teeth, skull, facial bones and other soft tissue in the area. It is a simple procedure and there are no complications associated.

The images obtained through a cephalography are used to assess proportionate growth in children, alignment of teeth with respect to the jaw structure, growth of the skull and forehead with respect to other facial bones and jaw. It is ideal that you undergo a cephalography for any of the above reasons or to study the effect of treatment that you have been undergoing for structural deformity of the face, skull or teeth.
