Leptospira Antibody IgM in Greater Noida

It is a simple blood test that examines blood for IgM-class antibodies for Leptospira species. Leptospirosis is a bacterial infection caused by a bacterium called Leptospira. It can occur in humans or animals and is most commonly transmitted by rats in tropical regions. This infection is spread through urine of infected animals. The most common symptoms are high fever, vomiting, headaches, muscle pain, red eyes, bleeding, diarrhea and rash.

Blood samples are collected from the arm and sent for analysis. Samples interpreted as positive may indicate the presence of the specific antibody. This disease is generally treated with antibiotics. If left untreated, it may cause kidney/liver failure or meningitis.
