The results of Bcl-2 BY FISH are a more accurate way of testing that can provide information about the expression of the Bcl-2 protein in the examined tissue. Abnormal expression of Bcl-2 has been associated with various cancers, such as certain types of lymphomas and leukemias. High levels of Bcl-2 in these contexts can contribute to the survival of cancer cells by inhibiting apoptosis, making it a potential target for cancer therapies. This test uses FFPE Blocks to check the expression of BCL-2.
