Anti-Cardiolipin Antibody IgM+IgG in Greater Noida
Understanding Anti-Cardiolipin Antibody IgM+IgG in Greater Noida
What is Anti-Cardiolipin Antibody IgM+IgG in Greater Noida?
Anti-Cardiolipin Antibody IgM+IgG detects antibodies produced against cardiolipins (phospholipids responsible for blood clotting) to determine the cause of abnormal blood clotting, frequent miscarriages in women, or as part of detecting antiphospholipid syndrome (APS). APS is a condition where the immune system produces excessive antiphospholipid antibodies against body tissues, causing abnormal clotting of blood. Additionally, this test may help diagnose other autoimmune disorders like SLE and helps evaluate the risk for thrombotic heart disease, stroke, kidney failure etc. A positive test is usually repeated 12 weeks later to reassess their presence. If a person with a known autoimmune disorder tests negative for cardiolipin antibodies, they may be re-tested to check for the presence of these antibodies in future.
