Overview
What is HBV Qual.?
The HBV, qualitative test is conducted to detect the presence of the Hepatitis B virus in the blood. Being a qualitative test, the results of this test provide the positive or negative reports, for the presence or absence of the Hepatitis B virus, respectively. This test is generally conducted in the early stages of suspicion where the levels of virus concentration might not be measurable.
Why is HBV Qual. done?
The test is conducted if you have symptoms of Hepatitis B infection like nausea, abdominal pain, jaundice, vomiting etc.
Interpreting HBV Qual. results
Interpretations
The test results of HBV qualitative test indicate the presence of the antigen in case there is an infection.
