What is Early Pregnancy With Uterine Doppler?
Early Pregnancy With Uterine Doppler has been used to investigate uteroplacental circulation in early pregnancy and pregnancy problems. This test helps investigate the potential of color Doppler to locate the presence of the trophoblastic lacunae which forms as early as the 23rd day of gestation (9 days embryo).
Uterine Doppler waveforms analysis is a non-invasive method, which can find pathological signs at the beginning of pregnancy. This test is also helpful in finding out problems in the process of implantation.
Doppler ultrasound has become widely accepted as a valuable diagnostic tool in obstetric medicine, where it has particular benefits for high-risk pregnancies.
Why is Early Pregnancy With Uterine Doppler done?
- To diagnose preeclampsia (pregnancy induced hypertension / increased blood pressure)
- To monitor fetal growth, placental abruption, stillbirth and fetal growth restriction and other fetal abnormalities
- To find out the growth in SGA fetuses (small for gestational age)
- To detect any blockage or blood clot in the arteries of the uterus and ovaries
- To find out presence of any abnormal growth / tumor / cancer in the ovaries
Radiology is the area of medicine that uses X-rays, magnetic waves and ultrasound to obtain detailed images of the inside of the body. Doctors can then use those images to detect and diagnose illnesses and injuries, as well as to help develop treatment plans. The Radiology Department offers radiology (also called imaging) services. Below are descriptions of some of the imaging tests available at Veramed.
