What is CMV, DNA PCR Quan.?
The Cytomegalovirus, DNA PCR – Quantitative test is used to measure the exposure of the patient to cytomegalovirus. CMV is a kind of herpes virus, which leads to flu like disease. This test is used to detect the virus through the traces of DNA that this virus is known to posses. Being a quantitative test, this procedure helps in measuring and monitoring the replication of CMV in the host body.
