What is 3D Dorsal Spine?
3D Dorsal Spine is a diagnostic imaging technique that detects abnormalities in the dorsal spine or your upper back. The 3D scan is a computed tomography (CT) scan that identifies all the blood vessels and soft tissues around the upper back. In this test, rotating X-ray beams are used to create a detailed image of the dorsal spine or upper back.
Some people may not be comfortable getting into the scanning machine and may feel claustrophobic. An abnormal result in the scan may indicate abnormalities in the upper back spine that could be the reason for severe pain, difficulty in walking, and problems in carrying out daily tasks. The 3D Dorsal Spine helps diagnose spinal fractures, arthritis, spondylolisthesis, degeneration, and tumors.
