A CT (computed tomography) Angiography Abdomen is a radiology test that allows your doctor to examine the reason behind unexplained pain in the abdominal (belly) region, blood clots, damaged blood vessels in the abdominal organs, or any injury. An iodine-rich contrast agent is used for the scan to get better visibility of the blood vessels. While the contrast flows through your abdominal organs, doctors can detect the abnormalities and analyse them further.

Since the amount of radiation involved is low, there are no side effects. However, remember to inform about your pregnancy or any other medical condition.
