CECT Whole Abdomen

The CECT Whole abdomen is a diagnostic imaging tool used to create detailed images of internal organs, bones, soft tissue, and blood vessels. In this test, intravenous contrast dye is ingested into the body which helps provide a detailed view of the blood vessels. It also helps diagnose problems in the biliary system (liver, pancreas, gallbladder, etc.).
CECT scanning is often considered the best method for detecting abdominal pain, suspected cancer, kidney or gall bladder stones, and infections. It also helps assess treatment progress of any illness.
It is an accurate and reliable method used for analyzing problems in the abdominal area as the images help detect the presence of a tumor and determine its size and location.
