What is CD5?
CD5 or Cluster of Differentiation 5 is a molecule that is expressed in blood cells. The CD5 test is performed to detect the presence of CD5 in cells and tissues.
Why is CD5 done?
- The CD5 test is performed after a diagnosis of lymphoma to determine succession of T cells in case of T cell lymphoma
- To identify B cell lymphoma subclasses
