USG Whole Abdomen
What is USG Whole Abdomen?
USG whole abdomen is used to create images of organs in the abdomen, including the liver, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, and kidneys. It is prescribed by a doctor in case of symptoms such as unexplained abdominal pain, swelling or infection.
This scan is performed to diagnose conditions such as enlarged organs, fluid in the abdominal cavity, gallstone, hernia, pancreatitis, kidney disease, liver cancer and appendicitis.
It is considered to be a safer alternative as compared to other imaging techniques as it does not use any ionizing radiations.
