What is Anti D titre?

Anti D titre test is done to diagnose Rh incompatibility in pregnant women, or if an individual is suspected of ABO incompatibility reaction or to identify antibodies to red blood cells. So, the test detects antibodies in Rh negative mother or even in the infant.

Why is Anti D titre done?

The test is done to determine the presence of Anti-D antibody in a pregnant woman’s serum or in the new born.

Interpreting Anti D titre results


The normal result for the test is a titre value of greater than 1:4 for all men and women of any age.
