What is Blood in Urine?
Blood in urine, known as hematuria, is a serious disorder where blood is excreted along with urine from your body. When you can see the blood yourself, the condition is known as gross hematuria. When the blood can be seen only by the doctor through a microscope, it is known as microscopic hematuria.
Why is Blood in Urine done?
A urinalysis is done to check for urinary tract infection or the presence of minerals that cause kidney stones. If you experience blood in urine, you must not ignore and immediately get it tested as it could lead to a very harmful disorder.
