Brucella Antibody, IgG in Jalandhar

The Brucella antibody IgG test helps detect IgG antibodies against the bacteria Brucella abortus. This bacteria causes an infection called brucellosis that spreads from animals to humans. If you have brucellosis, your body will make IgG antibodies to fight off this bacteria. 

IgG antibodies are usually detected after the second week of infection, attaining a peak six to eight weeks later. This test looks for these antibodies in your blood. The symptoms of brucellosis vary greatly among affected individuals. Some individuals may show no apparent symptoms, while others can develop serious complications affecting various organ systems.

This bacteria, if left untreated, may damage the body’s vital organs and can cause repeated infections and miscarriages or infections during pregnancy.
