What is CECT Chest With 3D?
The CECT (Contrast-Enhanced Computed Tomography) Chest With 3D is a procedure that identifies problems of the chest. It helps study organs, such as the heart, lungs, diaphragm, food pipe, rib cage, and surrounding muscles.
This procedure effectively determines the causes behind a cough, chest pain, shortness of breath, and any abnormalities of the chest. The rotating beams of the X-Ray give detailed pictures of the chest and its surrounding organs and help identify any blockages, injuries, infections, congenital abnormalities, and tumours.
A contrast dye is injected into the veins for clear images. Please inform your doctor about any contrast dye allergies you may suffer from. Pregnant women and patients with kidney problems and diabetes, too, should notify the doctor of their condition to avoid complications.
