What is RV Ag?
The Rotavirus antigen test is performed by collecting a stool sample from the patient. This sample is then checked for the Rotavirus Antigen, the presence of which would indicate the presence of the virus.
Why is RV Ag done?
- To confirm the presence of diarrhea
- Doctors also prescribe the same test while treating the symptoms of diarrhea in the patient
