What is Oligoclonal Bands?
Oligoclonal Bands test is a test that is conducted on an individual to detect inflammation-related proteins in the cerebrospinal fluid. The cerebrospinal fluid is a clear fluid that is present around the brain and the spinal cord. This test requires that a sample of cerebrospinal fluid be collected and for this purpose, a lumbar puncture is generally made to collect it.
