What is HEV IgM?
The Hepatitis E Virus IgM Antibody test is performed to screen for and diagnose an infection of the Hepatitis E virus affecting the liver.
Why is HEV IgM done?
- The anti-HEV IgM test is performed when the patient shows symptoms of hepatitis and is suspected of having been exposed to hepatitis E virus recently.
Preparation for HEV IgM
- A copy of valid government-issued identification card with the address is required.
