Overview
What is NCCT Left Knee Joint?
A non-contrast CT (NCCT) scan of the left knee joint is used to make a picture of the joint to offer a clear view of different knee disorders such as fractures around the knee, dislocations, and soft tissue strains and tears. It's a computer-assisted scan with X-rays. The doctor can use these photos to confirm the presence of a tumor and its size and location.
It's a quick, painless, non-invasive, and extremely precise exam. Before the scan, the patient will be stripped of all metal objects. They will be positioned on the CT table, where the scan will be done, and they must remain still throughout. Although the NCCT scan is safe, it may result in mild side effects like fatigue or a minor sensation of nausea.
