Azopt Opthalmic Suspension is a medicine used to reduce increased pressure in the eye, in people with glaucoma or ocular hypertension(high pressure in the eye). अगर आपकी आँख में दबाव बहुत अधिक है तो यह आपकी आँखों की रौशनी को नुकसान पहुँचा सकता है. एज़ोप्ट ऑप्थेल्मिक सस्पेंशन आंखों के अंदर द्रव पदार्थों की मात्रा घटाकर काम करता है.

अगर एज़ोप्ट ऑप्थेल्मिक सस्पेंशन का पहली बार इस्तेमाल करने से पहले इसकी सील टूटी हुई है तो इसे इस्तेमाल न करें. इसका इस्तेमाल करने से पहले अपने हाथों को धोयें और हर बार इस्तेमाल से पहले बोतल को अच्छी तरह से हिलाएं. The most common side effects are blurred vision and a bitter taste in your mouth. कभी-कभी लोगों को सांस की कमी, मितली, चक्कर आना, थकान, या हार्ट पैल्पिटेशन जैसे सामान्य इफेक्‍ट अनुभव होते हैं. अगर आपकी दृष्टि धुंधली हो जाती है या कुछ समय के लिए आपकी दृष्टि में अन्य बदलाव आता है, तो जब तक आपकी दृष्टि साफ़ न हो जाए, तब तक ड्राइव न करें.

एज़ोप्ट ऑप्थेल्मिक सस्पेंशन कार्बोनिक एनहाइड्रेज इनहिबिटर्स नामक दवाओं के समूह से संबंधित है. इसका इस्तेमाल आपकी आंखों में दबाव कम करने के लिए किया जाता है. इस प्रेशर ग्लूकोमा की वजह से नामक बीमारी हो सकती है. अगर आपकी आंखों में दबाव बहुत अधिक है, तो यह आपकी दृष्टि को नुकसान पहुंचा सकता है. आपको केवल प्रभावित आंख में इसका इस्तेमाल करना चाहिए और डॉक्टर के निर्देशानुसार नियमित रूप से लेना चाहिए. अगर आप इसे लेना बंद कर देते हैं, तो आपकी आंखों में दबाव नियंत्रित नहीं किया जा सकेगा. इससे आँखों की रोशनी खो सकती है.

  • एज़ोप्ट ऑप्थेल्मिक सस्पेंशन आंखों में उच्च दबाव को कम करने और अंधेपन के खतरे को कम करने में मदद करता है.
  • सबसे बेहतर नतीजों के लिए, प्रभावित आंख (आंखों) में हर रोज़ 2-3 बार एक ड्रॉप डालें.

Q. What is the right way to use Azopt Opthalmic Suspension

Always wash your hands before (and after) using Azopt Opthalmic Suspension. This prevents you from passing the infection from one eye to the other. Remove the cap just before using your medicine and replace it as soon as you have finished. Avoid touching the nozzle of the bottle with your fingers. Tilt your head back and gently pull down your lower eyelid with a clean finger. Hold the bottle over the eye and allow a single drop to fall into the space between your lower lid and your eye. Close your eye and gently press your finger over the inside corner of your eye (over the eyelid) for about a minute. This helps prevent the drop from draining out of the eye. Repeat in your other eye if your doctor has told you to do this.

Q. How many times should I use Azopt Opthalmic Suspension in a day

Ideally, you should use the drops regularly, three times a day, or as prescribed by your doctor.

Although rare, headache is one of the side-effects of Azopt Opthalmic Suspension. You may ask your doctor to recommend a suitable painkiller. If the headache continues, speak with your doctor.

You should contact your doctor immediately if you develop swelling in the eyelids, eye pain, dry eye(s), foreign body sensation in the eyes, headache, and discharge from the eyes. Also, inform your doctor if you had or have any scheduled eye surgery.

Q. Can I use Azopt Opthalmic Suspension if I wear contact lenses

If you usually wear contact lenses, do not wear them while you're using Azopt Opthalmic Suspension. आप एज़ोप्ट ऑप्थेल्मिक सस्पेंशन का इस्तेमाल करने के 15 मिनट बाद लेंस को दोबारा लगा सकते हैं. अगर कोई आंखों में जलन होता है, तो अपने डॉक्टर से संपर्क करें.

Always consult your doctor before using any other eye drops along with Azopt Opthalmic Suspension. It is advisable to give a gap of atleast 10-15 minutes between the two medications.
