Smoking or using smokeless tobacco increases your chances of getting oral cancer. It causes a reduced flow of saliva which allows bacteria to thrive in your mouth. Similarly, alcohol causes dental erosion, leading to increased wear and tear of your teeth.

4. Replace your toothbrush every 3 months:
1 brush should not be used for more than 3 months. The bristles of your brush become frayed over a period of time and lose their effectiveness. It is important to change your brush every 3 months for a proper oral hygiene.
