Etizolam એ મગજમાં ચેતા કોષોની અસાધારણને વધુ પડતી પ્રવૃત્તિને દાબવા, એક રસાયણવાહક GABA ની ક્રિયાને વધારીને ઊંઘને પ્રેરિત કરે છે અને આંચકી કે તાણને નિયંત્રિત કરે છે.
