Fenbac 20mg Tablet XR is used for muscle relaxation. It provides relief from rigidity, tension and stiffness in muscles (spasticity) that may occur due to various conditions such as cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, motor neuron disease, or injury to the head, brain or spine.

Fenbac 20mg Tablet XR should be taken in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. It should be taken with or after food. Do not stop taking it suddenly without discussing with your doctor.

Fatigue, dizziness, drowsiness and weakness are some of the side effects that might be seen on taking this medicine. Inform your doctor if you have a history of liver or kidney disease.

જો તમને પોરફીરિયા (વારસાગત સ્થિતિ જેથી ફોલ્લા, પેટમાં દુખાવો અને મગજ કે ચેતાતંત્રનો વિકાર).

દવા લેતાં પહેલાં તમારા ડોકટરને જણાવો :

જો તમે સગર્ભા હોવ અથવા સગર્ભા બનવાનું આયોજન કરી રહ્યા હોવ અથવા સ્તનપાન કરાવતા હોવ.

Fasting sugar was 340 on 5/12/16. Took one tablet of GLX XR 60mg before breakfast and one tablet of Tenepride 20mg before dinner. Continued for one month. Blood sugar level dropped to BFS 76 and PP 98. Next GLX XR 60mg was reduced to half a tablet and Tenepride 20 mg continued with one tablet. Blood sugar level was further reduced to BFS 72 and PP 96. My body weight, which was about 65 kg, came down to 56 kg. In between, I had a blood sugar drop and felt dizzy,my vision blurred and was about to faint. Quick intake of sugar saved the day. I followed a strict diet control but now relaxed a bit. My question is should I continue with the medicine or lower the doze or abstain from medicine

Q. Can Fenbac make you sleepy?

Yes, Fenbac can cause sleepiness. It can make a person dizzy due to its sedative effect. It can also affect vision and therefore you should avoid driving and using heavy machinery until and unless you know how Fenbac affects you.

Q. Does Fenbac help anxiety?

Though Fenbac is not approved to treat anxiety disorders, it has been observed in some studies that it is effective in treating stress which occurs after a trauma.

Q. Can I take Fenbac if I have a liver problem?

If you have a liver problem then you need to be cautious while taking Fenbac. This is because the medicine may increase the production of liver enzymes. Hence, regular laboratory examination of liver enzymes is required while taking this medicine as advised by your doctor.

Q. Does Fenbac have any effect on kidneys?

Fenbac may cause side effects in patients with normal kidney function which include excessive day time urination (pollakiuria), burning sensation while urinating (dysuria), and loss of bladder control (urinary incontinence). Generally, a low dose of Fenbac is prescribed if a person has abnormally functioning kidneys or if a person is on dialysis.

Q. How should Fenbac be taken?

Take Fenbac exactly as directed by your doctor. If a person experiences nausea while taking Fenbac then it should be consumed with food or milk. However, for night cramps, it would be best to use the medicine at night time or 1 hour before doing specific tasks like physiotherapy or washing.
