Dolser Gel is used to relieve pain and reduce swelling in your joints and muscles. It can be used to treat various injuries such as sprains, strains and bruises. It can also be used for tendonitis (such as tennis elbow) and osteoarthritis.

Dolser Gel may be used 2 to 4 times a day on the affected area depending on how strong it is. It should be applied slowly and evenly to the skin until it is rubbed in. You should not use it too often and you should not cover the treated area with a bandage or plaster.

It is a safe medicine with few side effects, but you may get a skin rash, itching, reddening or burning of the skin. Occasionally a skin rash may be a sign of severe allergic reaction. Tell your doctor straight away if you get a rash with blistering. Dolser Gel is not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding and you should not use it if you are already taking diclofenac (or other similar) tablets.

It is important to know that Dolser Gel may increase your chance of having a heart attack or stroke. The risk is more if you take higher doses and have been using the medicine for a longer time. Also, taking Dolser Gel may cause ulcers, bleeding, or holes in your stomach and intestine. These problems may happen without warning symptoms at any time during treatment and may even cause death. Therefore, if you encounter any such problems, consult your doctor immediately.

Q. Can Dolser Gel be taken during pregnancy?

You should not take Dolser Gel during the last 3 months of pregnancy as it may cause harmful effects on your baby. Use of Dolser Gel can also lead to reduced labor (premature delivery). Hence, it is advised to avoid using Dolser Gel during the first 6 months of pregnancy also. In some cases, Dolser Gel may be prescribed in pregnant women only if the benefits outweigh the risks involved with its use in pregnant women. If not sure, consult your doctor regarding its use.
