Feracrylum Topical



Feracrylum is used topically (on skin surface) to control bleeding from smaller blood vessels occurring during various surgical procedures including bone surgeries. It is also used as an antiseptic in post-operative wound infections.

How it works

Feracrylum belong to a class of medications called as haemostatic agents. It activates certain protein which are involved in clotting pathway thereby helping in blood clotting. It prevents blood loss by reducing the oozing by forming a physical barrier on the wound.

Allergic skin rash, Burning sensation, Headache, Nausea, Stomach upset


Expert advice

  • Feracrylum topical is for external use only. It should never be used orally, intravenously, intramuscularly or after dilution.
  • Discontinue usage if you experience irritation or discomfort.
  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
  • It should not take if patient is allergic to feracrylum or any of its ingredients.
  • Patients taking epsilon aminocaproic acid (EACA) for any bleeding disorders
