Alfuzosin(10 mg)


Alfuzosin is used to treat problems with urination in men with enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia).

How it works

Alfuzosin belongs to group of medicines called alpha-blockers. It works by blocking the action of  a chemical adrenalin, thereby relaxing the muscles in the bladder and prostate, relieving difficulty in urination.

  • Do not take alfuzosin while driving as it may cause dizziness or fainting.
  • If you are undergoing cataract surgery, inform your doctor before surgery that you are using or have previously used alfuzosin.
  • If you suffer from drop in blood pressure when getting up from lying position, don’t get up until the symptoms disappear.
  • Alfuzosin may cause dizziness, lightheadedness, and fainting, especially when you get up too quickly from a lying position. This is more common when you first start taking alfuzosin. To avoid this problem, get out of bed slowly, resting your feet on the floor for a few minutes before standing up
